Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 ounces each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Optional: Herbs or spices of your choice (such as dill parsley, garlic powder

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.

Prepare the Salmon:

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
  • Rub each fillet with olive oil on both sides, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • Season the salmon with salt, pepper, and any optional herbs or spices according to your preference.

Arrange in the Air Fryer:

  • Once the air fryer is preheated, carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets into the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving some space between them for air circulation.
  • If your air fryer is small, you may need to cook the salmon in batches to avoid overcrowding.

Air Fry the Salmon:

  • Cook the salmon in the preheated air fryer for 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  • For medium-rare salmon, aim for an internal temperature of 120-125°F (49-52°C). For well-done salmon, aim for 145°F (63°C).
  • Halfway through the cooking time, carefully flip the salmon fillets using tongs to ensure even cooking.

Serve:

  • Once the salmon is cooked to your desired level of doneness and has a golden brown crust, carefully remove it from the air fryer.
  • Serve the air-fried salmon immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
  • Enjoy your delicious and healthy air-fried salmon!

Notes

Cooking times may vary depending on the size and thickness of the salmon fillets, as well as the specific model of your air fryer. It's always a good idea to check the internal temperature of the salmon using a meat thermometer to ensure it's cooked to your liking.
