  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 ounces each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Optional: Herbs or spices of your choice (such as dill parsley, garlic powder

Method

Preheat the Air Fryer:
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
Prepare the Salmon:
  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
  2. Rub each fillet with olive oil on both sides, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  3. Season the salmon with salt, pepper, and any optional herbs or spices according to your preference.
Arrange in the Air Fryer:
  1. Once the air fryer is preheated, carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets into the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving some space between them for air circulation.
  2. If your air fryer is small, you may need to cook the salmon in batches to avoid overcrowding.
Air Fry the Salmon:
  1. Cook the salmon in the preheated air fryer for 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  2. For medium-rare salmon, aim for an internal temperature of 120-125°F (49-52°C). For well-done salmon, aim for 145°F (63°C).
  3. Halfway through the cooking time, carefully flip the salmon fillets using tongs to ensure even cooking.
Serve:
  1. Once the salmon is cooked to your desired level of doneness and has a golden brown crust, carefully remove it from the air fryer.
  2. Serve the air-fried salmon immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish.
  3. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
  4. Enjoy your delicious and healthy air-fried salmon!

Notes

Cooking times may vary depending on the size and thickness of the salmon fillets, as well as the specific model of your air fryer. It's always a good idea to check the internal temperature of the salmon using a meat thermometer to ensure it's cooked to your liking.
