Turkey and Cheese Roll-Ups Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices of deli turkey
  • 4 slices of cheese Swiss, cheddar, or your favorite
  • 4 large lettuce leaves optional, for wrapping
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or cream cheese optional
  • 1/2 avocado sliced, optional
  • 1/2 cucumber sliced into thin strips, optional
  • 1/4 cup sliced bell peppers optional
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Toothpicks optional, for holding the roll-ups together

Method
 

Prepare the ingredients:
  1. Lay out the turkey slices on a clean surface.
  2. If using mayonnaise or cream cheese, spread a thin layer on each slice of turkey.
Add the cheese:
  1. Place one slice of cheese on top of each turkey slice.
  2. If you want the cheese to be smaller than the turkey slice, you can cut the cheese slice in half.
Add optional fillings:
  1. If using, place a lettuce leaf on top of the cheese.
  2. Add a few slices of avocado, cucumber, and bell peppers to each slice.
  3. Season with a little salt and black pepper.
Roll up the turkey:
  1. Starting from one end, carefully roll up each turkey slice into a tight cylinder.
  2. Secure the roll-ups with toothpicks if needed to keep them from unrolling.
Serve:
  1. Arrange the turkey and cheese roll-ups on a plate and serve immediately.
  2. They can be enjoyed as a quick snack, a light lunch, or an appetizer.
