Ingredients
  

  • 4 ripe peaches peeled, pitted, and chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for heat
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method
 

Prepare the peaches:
  1. In a blender or food processor, puree the chopped peaches until smooth.
Cook the sauce:
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the peach puree, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  2. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
Simmer and thicken:
  1. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.
Season and adjust:
  1. Taste the sauce and season with salt and black pepper to your preference. Adjust any other seasonings as needed.
Cool and store:
  1. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the sauce cool to room temperature.
  2. Transfer the sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate. It will keep for up to 1 week in the refrigerator.
Serve:
  1. Use the peach BBQ sauce on grilled meats, as a dipping sauce, or as a condiment for sandwiches and burgers. Enjoy!
