- 2 shots of espressoor 1/2 cup of strongly brewed coffee, chilled
- 1 cup of milkany type you prefer: whole, skim, almond, etc.
- 2 tablespoons of caramel sauceplus extra for drizzling
- Ice cubes
- Whipped creamoptional
- Caramel syrupoptional, for extra sweetness
Instructions
Brew two shots of espresso or prepare 1/2 cup of strongly brewed coffee. Allow it to cool completely or chill it in the refrigerator.
In a glass, pour the chilled espresso or coffee over a generous amount of ice cubes.
In a separate container, heat the milk until it's warm but not boiling. You can do this on the stovetop or in the microwave.
Once the milk is heated, froth it using a milk frother or whisk vigorously until it becomes frothy and foamy.
Pour the frothed milk over the espresso or coffee in the glass, holding back the foam with a spoon to allow it to float on top.
Drizzle two tablespoons of caramel sauce over the foamy milk, allowing it to cascade down the sides of the glass.
If desired, top the drink with a dollop of whipped cream and an extra drizzle of caramel syrup for added indulgence.
Give your Iced Caramel Macchiato a gentle stir to mix the flavors together, then sip and enjoy immediately!
