Homemade Strawberry Lemonade Recipe Card

Ingredients
  

For Strawberry Puree:
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries hulled
  • 2 tbsp sugar optional, adjust to taste
For Lemonade:
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice about 4–5 lemons
  • 4 cups cold water
  • ½ cup simple syrup adjust sweetness to taste
  • Ice cubes
Optional garnish: lemon slices, fresh strawberries, mint leaves
  • For Simple Syrup if not using pre-made:
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup water

Method
 

Make Simple Syrup:
  1. In a small saucepan, combine ½ cup sugar and ½ cup water. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves completely. Let cool.
Prepare Strawberry Puree:
  1. Blend strawberries with 2 tbsp sugar until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve if you prefer no seeds.
Combine Lemonade:
  1. In a large pitcher, mix lemon juice, cold water, simple syrup, and strawberry puree. Stir well.
Serve:
  1. Fill glasses with ice and pour strawberry lemonade over ice. Garnish with lemon slices, strawberries, or mint leaves.
Optional:
  1. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving for a colder, more refreshing drink.

Notes

Adjust sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup according to taste.
For a fizzy version, replace part of the water with sparkling water.
Frozen strawberries work well and make the drink naturally colder.
Make a big batch ahead — keeps in the fridge for up to 3 days.
