Halloween Mummy Hot Dogs Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough or puff pastry
  • Mustard or ketchup for mummy eyes
  • 1 egg optional, for egg wash

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the dough:

  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and cut it into thin strips (about 1/4-inch wide).

Wrap the hot dogs:

  • Take each hot dog and wrap the dough strips around it, leaving a small space for the "face" of the mummy. Continue wrapping until the hot dog is mostly covered. Optionally, brush the dough with beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake:

  • Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.

Add mummy eyes:

  • Use small dots of mustard or ketchup to create eyes on the exposed area of each hot dog.

Serve:

  • Let cool slightly before serving. Serve with extra mustard or ketchup for dipping.
