Greek Chicken Gyro Tacos

Ingredients
  

  • - 1 lb chicken breast thinly sliced
  • - 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • - 2 cloves garlic minced
  • - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • - 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • - Salt and pepper to taste
  • - 8 small flour tortillas or pita bread
  • - Tzatziki sauce for serving
  • - Chopped tomatoes for serving
  • - Sliced cucumbers for serving
  • - Chopped red onion for serving
  • - Crumbled feta cheese for serving
  • - Fresh parsley for garnish
  • - Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix together olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  • Add the thinly sliced chicken breast to the marinade and toss until well coated. Let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken slices to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  • Warm the flour tortillas or pita bread in a dry skillet or microwave.
  • Assemble the tacos by placing a few slices of cooked chicken on each tortilla or pita bread, followed by a dollop of tzatziki sauce.
  • Top with chopped tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, chopped red onion, crumbled feta cheese, and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
  • Squeeze a lemon wedge over the tacos for an extra burst of freshness.
  • Serve immediately and get ready to indulge in a Mediterranean flavor fiesta!
