Method
Make the Brownie Batter
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 pan with parchment.
- Whisk melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until smooth.
Bake
- Spread batter into the pan and bake for 22–25 minutes, until the center looks set.
- Cool completely before frosting.
Make the Frosting
- Beat softened butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and salt. Beat until smooth and fluffy.
Frost & Decorate
- Spread frosting over cooled brownies, then shower with Christmas sprinkles.
- Cut into squares and serve!
Notes
Extra fudgy: Underbake by 1–2 minutes.
Make ahead: Frosted brownies stay fresh 2–3 days covered or 5 days in the fridge.
Flavor twist: Add ½ tsp peppermint extract to the frosting for a candy-cane touch.
