Dandelion Honey Syrup 🍯🌼

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh dandelion flowers no stems or leaves
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 ½ cups sugar or honey for a richer taste
  • ½ tsp lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Rinse the dandelion flowers thoroughly to remove dirt and insects.
  2. Boil the flowers: In a saucepan, add 2 cups of water and the dandelion flowers. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Strain & discard flowers, keeping the liquid.
  4. Add sugar & lemon juice, then return to low heat. Stir occasionally and let it thicken for 10-15 minutes, until it reaches a syrupy consistency.
  5. Cool & store: Pour into a jar and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
