Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs canned whole green beans drained
  • fresh works too — steam 5–6 min first
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and chopped
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic or 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: pinch crushed red pepper flakes

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread drained green beans in a 9×13 baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle chopped bacon over the top.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together:
  5. Melted butter
  6. Brown sugar
  7. Soy sauce
  8. Garlic
  9. Black pepper
  10. Pour that sweet-savory magic evenly over the beans.
  11. Bake 25–30 minutes, until everything is glossy and caramelized.
  12. Stir gently, plate, and watch them disappear.

Notes

Add a splash of the bacon grease for max flavor — no judgement.
