Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 8 small taco shells or tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or your favorite blend
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • Pickles sliced
  • Ketchup and mustard optional
  • Olive oil or cooking spray

Method

Prepare the Ground Beef:
  1. In a large skillet, heat a small amount of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.
  3. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Add the taco seasoning to the ground beef according to the packet instructions. Stir well and let simmer for a few minutes to combine the flavors.
Warm the Taco Shells:
  1. While the beef is simmering, warm the taco shells or tortillas according to package instructions. You can do this in the oven, on a skillet, or in the microwave.
Assemble the Tacos:
  1. Once the beef is ready, start assembling your burger tacos.
  2. Spoon a portion of the seasoned ground beef into each taco shell.
  3. Top with shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, and diced onions.
  4. Add pickles, ketchup, and mustard if desired for that classic burger flavor.
Serve:
  1. Serve immediately while the tacos are still warm. Enjoy!
