Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 8 small taco shells or tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or your favorite blend
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • Pickles sliced
  • Ketchup and mustard optional
  • Olive oil or cooking spray

Instructions

Prepare the Ground Beef:

  • In a large skillet, heat a small amount of olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.
  • Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  • Add the taco seasoning to the ground beef according to the packet instructions. Stir well and let simmer for a few minutes to combine the flavors.

Warm the Taco Shells:

  • While the beef is simmering, warm the taco shells or tortillas according to package instructions. You can do this in the oven, on a skillet, or in the microwave.

Assemble the Tacos:

  • Once the beef is ready, start assembling your burger tacos.
  • Spoon a portion of the seasoned ground beef into each taco shell.
  • Top with shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, and diced onions.
  • Add pickles, ketchup, and mustard if desired for that classic burger flavor.

Serve:

  • Serve immediately while the tacos are still warm. Enjoy!
