Method
Prep the Pan
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease or line a standard loaf pan with parchment paper.
Mix Wet Ingredients
- In a large bowl, whisk mashed bananas, sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
Add Dry Ingredients
- Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
Bake
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
Cool & Slice
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Extra moist: Very ripe, spotty bananas make the biggest difference.
Don’t overmix: Stir just until combined to keep the loaf tender.
Golden top: Tent loosely with foil if the top browns too fast.
