Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 slices of whole grain bread
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes red pepper flakes, feta cheese, poached or fried egg, sliced radishes, micro greens

Equipment

  • Toaster
  • Bowl for mashing avocado
  • Fork for mashing
  • Knife for slicing avocado and spreading
  • Plate for serving

Method
 

  1. Toast the slices of whole grain bread until golden brown and crispy.
  2. While the bread is toasting, halve the avocado and remove the pit. Scoop the flesh into a bowl and mash it with a fork until smooth.
  3. Season the mashed avocado with salt and pepper to taste, and mix well.
  4. Once the bread is toasted, spread the mashed avocado evenly onto each slice.
  5. Add any desired toppings on top of the mashed avocado.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Avocado Toast!
