Ingredients
Method
Preheat Oven:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking dish.
Cook the Beef:
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onion until browned and fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess grease.
Make the Cheesy Filling:
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and Velveeta cubes. Cook, stirring often, until cheese is fully melted and mixture is smooth.
Assemble the Sliders:
- Slice slider buns horizontally and place bottom halves in the baking dish. Spread the beef and cheese mixture evenly over the buns. Add pickles if using, then place top buns on.
Add Butter Topping:
- Mix melted butter with garlic powder, onion powder, and sesame seeds. Brush generously over slider tops.
Bake:
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes until tops are golden.
Serve:
- Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
Extra Indulgent: Add cooked bacon bits or sliced jalapeños to the filling.
Make Ahead: Assemble up to 8 hours ahead, refrigerate, and bake before serving.
Keep Warm: Transfer to a slow cooker on “warm” for parties.
Cheese Swap: Velveeta is classic, but American cheese can work in a pinch.
Serving Idea: Serve with chips, pickles, and cold soda for the full comfort-food vibe.
