Cook Time 20 minutes
Servings: 12 sliders
Calories: 290

Ingredients

  • 1 12-count package Hawaiian sweet rolls (King’s Hawaiian preferred)
  • ¾ lb deli ham thinly sliced
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese or provolone
  • ½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds optional
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Method

Preheat Oven:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Slice Rolls:
  1. Without separating rolls, cut the entire sheet of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in the prepared dish.
Layer Filling:
  1. Evenly layer ham slices, then cheese slices, over the bottom rolls. Place the top half of rolls back on.
Make Butter Sauce:
  1. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and poppy seeds.
Brush & Bake:
  1. Pour or brush the butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
Serve:
  1. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.

Notes

Use leftover holiday ham for a richer flavor.
Switch up the cheese — cheddar for sharpness, pepper jack for spice, or mozzarella for extra meltiness.
Assemble ahead: prepare and refrigerate (unbaked) up to 24 hours in advance; bake when ready to serve.
Great for freezing — bake, cool, then wrap individually for grab-and-go lunches.
