Ingredients
Method
Prepare Sauce:
- In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
Add Beef:
- Place sliced beef in the slow cooker. Pour sauce over it.
Cook:
- Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until beef is tender.
Thicken Sauce:
- In the last 30 minutes of cooking, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the crockpot. Add broccoli at this time. Cover and cook until sauce thickens and broccoli is tender-crisp.
Serve:
- Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions. Serve hot over white rice, brown rice, or cauliflower rice.
Notes
Slice beef thinly against the grain for the most tender texture.
Add broccoli in the last half hour to keep it from getting mushy.
Want it spicier? Add 1–2 tsp sriracha or red pepper flakes to the sauce.
For meal prep: store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days; reheat gently so broccoli doesn’t overcook.
