Ingredients
  

For the Samosas (Store-bought or homemade):
  • 6 –8 samosas potato, peas, or mixed vegetable filling
  • Oil for frying (if using frozen samosas)
  • For the Chaat Toppings:
  • 1 cup cooked chickpeas or canned, drained
  • ½ cup yogurt whisked smooth
  • 3 tbsp tamarind chutney
  • 3 tbsp green chutney coriander-mint
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • ¼ tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onions
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves chopped
Optional:
  • sev crispy chickpea noodles for garnish
Optional:
  • pomegranate seeds for garnish

Method
 

Prepare Samosas:
  1. Fry or bake samosas according to package instructions or recipe. Let them cool slightly, then cut each into bite-sized pieces.
Assemble Base:
  1. Place samosa pieces on a serving plate or bowl. Sprinkle cooked chickpeas over them.
  2. Add Yogurt & Chutneys: Drizzle whisked yogurt over the samosas, followed by tamarind and green chutney.
Season:
  1. Sprinkle chaat masala, red chili powder, and a pinch of salt over the top.
Garnish:
  1. Add chopped onions, tomatoes, coriander, sev, and pomegranate seeds.
Serve:
  1. Serve immediately for the best crunch and freshness.

Notes

Use slightly warm samosas for better flavor absorption by the chutneys.
You can replace chickpeas with boiled potatoes for a simpler version.
For a tangy twist, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.
If making ahead, keep samosas and toppings separate and assemble just before serving to maintain crispiness.
