Ingredients
Method
- (Optional) In a skillet over medium heat, sauté kielbasa slices for 3–4 minutes until lightly browned for extra flavor. This step can be skipped for convenience.
- Place green beans, onion, and garlic in the crockpot.
- Add the browned kielbasa on top.
- In a small bowl, whisk together chicken broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the ingredients in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours, until green beans are tender and flavors meld.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed before serving.
Notes
Using fresh green beans gives the best texture, but frozen works well in a pinch.
Sautéing the kielbasa before slow cooking adds a nice caramelized flavor but isn’t mandatory.
Serve with crusty bread, rice, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
