Ingredients
  

  • 1 baguette sliced into ½-inch thick pieces
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional toppings: grated Parmesan chopped parsley, or herbs of choice

Method
 

Preheat Oven:
  1. Set oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare Garlic Oil:
  1. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
Brush Bread:
  1. Arrange baguette slices on the baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with garlic oil.
Bake:
  1. Bake for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crisp.
Optional Garnish:
  1. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese or fresh herbs while still warm.
Serve:
  1. Serve immediately as a snack, appetizer, or with dips like bruschetta, spinach artichoke dip, or soup.

Notes

For softer crostini, brush with less oil and bake for a shorter time.
Garlic flavor intensifies if using roasted garlic instead of raw.
Store leftover crostini in an airtight container for up to 3 days; re-crisp in the oven before serving.
Experiment with different herbs like thyme, rosemary, or oregano for varied flavors.
