Ingredients
  

  • 12 breakfast sausages or mini hot dogs
  • 1 can 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough or puff pastry
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
Optional:
  • ½ tsp garlic powder or everything bagel seasoning for extra flavor
Optional dipping sauces:
  • ketchup mustard, or maple syrup

Method
 

Preheat Oven:
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare Dough:
  1. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Cut each triangle in half widthwise to form smaller triangles if needed.
Wrap Sausages:
  1. Place one sausage at the wide end of each triangle and roll up toward the point. Seal edges gently.
Apply Egg Wash:
  1. Brush each wrapped sausage with beaten egg for a golden finish. Sprinkle with garlic powder or everything bagel seasoning if desired.
Bake:
  1. Bake 12–15 minutes, or until dough is golden brown and cooked through.
Serve:
  1. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush with a bit of melted butter after baking.
Add a slice of cheese inside each blanket for cheesy pigs in a blanket.
Use puff pastry for a flakier, more delicate texture.
