🔥 Cajun Grilled Venison Steaks

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb venison steaks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and lemon juice.
  2. Rub marinade over venison steaks and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high. Oil the grates.
  4. Grill steaks 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  5. Rest 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

If venison tastes a bit “gamey,” soak it in buttermilk for 2–3 hours before marinating. This mellows the flavor and tenderizes the meat.
