- In a bowl, mix olive oil, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and lemon juice.
- Rub marinade over venison steaks and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
- Preheat grill to medium-high. Oil the grates.
- Grill steaks 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Rest 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
If venison tastes a bit “gamey,” soak it in buttermilk for 2–3 hours before marinating. This mellows the flavor and tenderizes the meat.
