Ingredients
Method
- Grease a 9x13" pan with butter or nonstick spray and line with parchment paper.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
- Stir in a few drops of yellow food coloring until evenly distributed.
- Remove from heat and gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until well coated.
- Press the mixture into the prepared pan using a buttered spatula or wax paper. Flatten evenly and let set for 30 minutes.
- Once set, remove from the pan and cut into long rectangle “ruler” shapes (about 1"x4" strips).
- Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
- Dip one end of each ruler treat in the melted chocolate to mimic the metal tip of a real ruler. Let harden on parchment paper.
- Use an edible marker or piping gel to draw ruler lines and measurements along the top of each bar.
- Let dry completely before serving or packaging.
Notes
For extra precision, use a real ruler to evenly space your chocolate lines.
These are great for school parties—wrap them in clear treat bags and tie with ribbon for individual giveaways.
