  • 4 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 4 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 2 cups small pretzels twists or sticks
  • 2 cups salted peanuts or mixed nuts
  • 1 ½ cups plain M&M’s holiday colors if desired
  • 1 12 oz bag white chocolate chips (or almond bark)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable shortening or coconut oil helps smooth chocolate
  • Optional add-ins: Cheerios Bugles, Reese’s Pieces, or candy-coated chocolates.

Method

Mix the Dry Ingredients:
  1. In a very large bowl, combine Rice Chex, Corn Chex, pretzels, peanuts, and M&M’s.
Melt the White Chocolate:
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips with shortening in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth. (Or use a double boiler on the stovetop.)
Coat the Mix:
  1. Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal mixture. Gently stir until everything is evenly coated.
Spread to Set:
  1. Spread mixture out on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Let sit at room temperature (or refrigerate briefly) until chocolate hardens.
Break & Serve:
  1. Break into clusters, transfer to an airtight container, and enjoy!

Notes

For festive flair, use seasonal M&M’s (red/green for Christmas, pastels for Easter, etc.).
If using almond bark, you may not need shortening.
Store in an airtight container at room temp up to 1 week or in the freezer for 1 month.
Perfect for gifting — pack into treat bags or jars!
