Method
Mix the Dry Ingredients:
- In a very large bowl, combine Rice Chex, Corn Chex, pretzels, peanuts, and M&M’s.
Melt the White Chocolate:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips with shortening in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth. (Or use a double boiler on the stovetop.)
Coat the Mix:
- Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal mixture. Gently stir until everything is evenly coated.
Spread to Set:
- Spread mixture out on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Let sit at room temperature (or refrigerate briefly) until chocolate hardens.
Break & Serve:
- Break into clusters, transfer to an airtight container, and enjoy!
Notes
For festive flair, use seasonal M&M’s (red/green for Christmas, pastels for Easter, etc.).
If using almond bark, you may not need shortening.
Store in an airtight container at room temp up to 1 week or in the freezer for 1 month.
