Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ lbs chicken thighs or drumsticks boneless or bone-in
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce store-bought or homemade
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions

Method
 

Preheat Air Fryer:
  1. Set to 380°F (190°C).
Season Chicken:
  1. Pat chicken dry, then rub with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Cook Chicken:
  1. Place chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.
Add BBQ Sauce:
  1. Brush chicken generously with BBQ sauce. Cook an additional 5–10 minutes, flipping once, until chicken is fully cooked (internal temp 165°F / 74°C) and sauce is caramelized.
Serve:
  1. Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve with sides like coleslaw, baked potatoes, or steamed veggies.

Notes

Crispier Skin:
For bone-in chicken, air fry a few extra minutes to get crispier skin.
Extra Flavor:
Marinate chicken in BBQ sauce for 30 minutes to 1 hour before cooking for deeper flavor.
Storage:
Keeps well in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–4 days. Reheat in air fryer for best texture.
Sauce Variations: Try spicy, smoky, or honey BBQ sauce for different flavor profiles.
