Ingredients

  • 1 cup natural peanut butter unsweetened, unsalted, no xylitol
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour or oat flour for grain-free option
  • Optional: ΒΌ cup water only if dough is too dry to work with

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix peanut butter and flour until a dough forms. Add a bit of water if needed for moisture.
  3. Roll dough to about ΒΌ-inch thickness. Cut into shapes using cookie cutters or a knife.
  4. Place treats on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until edges are golden and biscuits feel firm.
  6. Cool completely before serving to your dog.

Notes

Use only dog-safe peanut butter: make sure it does not contain xylitol, an artificial sweetener that is toxic to dogs.
For extra crunch, turn the oven off after baking and let the treats sit in the oven for an extra 30 minutes.
Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
Oat flour is a great alternative for pups with wheat sensitivities.
