Ingredients

  • 2 –3 lb pre-cooked ham steak or small ham portion bone-in or boneless
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cloves optional
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Cooking spray or a little oil for air fryer basket

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, Dijon mustard, honey, cloves, and black pepper to create a glaze.
  3. Lightly spray or brush the air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the ham steak in the basket. Brush generously with the glaze on all sides.
  5. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through and brushing again with glaze.
  6. Check internal temperature (should be 140°F or warmed through). If needed, cook an additional 3–5 minutes.
  7. Remove and let rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

If your ham is larger, increase cooking time accordingly, checking every 5 minutes.
For extra flavor, add pineapple juice or a splash of apple cider vinegar to your glaze.
Keep an eye on the glaze to avoid burning — reduce sugar if needed.
Serve with roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, or in sandwiches.
Leftovers keep well refrigerated for 3–4 days.
