Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread cherries evenly in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with sugar and almond extract if using.
- Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over cherries—do not stir.
- Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
