Ingredients

  • 2 large apples any variety, cored and sliced into wedges
  • ¼ cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • Mini marshmallows for teeth

Method

Prepare Apple Slices:
  1. Wash and core apples. Slice each apple into wedges, about ½ inch thick.
Add the “Teeth”:
  1. Spread peanut butter along the inside edge of each apple slice. Press mini marshmallows into the peanut butter to look like teeth.
Assemble the Mouths:
  1. Take two apple slices and press them together with the peanut butter and marshmallows inside to form a “mouth.”
Add Eyes (Optional):
  1. Use chocolate chips or raisins on toothpicks to make little monster eyes for extra fun.
Serve:
  1. Arrange on a platter and enjoy immediately for the best crispness.

Notes

Prevent Browning: Dip apple slices briefly in lemon water to keep them from turning brown.
Nut-Free Option: Use sunflower seed butter or cream cheese for peanut-free versions.
Extra Fun: Decorate with Halloween-themed sprinkles or edible eyes.
Make Ahead: Assemble just before serving to keep apples crisp.
