Ingredients

  • 12 slices bacon regular-cut works best
  • 12 toothpicks or small skewers
  • Optional garnishes: fresh rosemary sprigs parsley, or cherry tomatoes

Method

Preheat Oven:
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with foil or lightly grease it.
Form the Roses:

Secure:
  1. Insert a toothpick through the side of each bacon rose to hold its shape.
Bake:
  1. Place bacon roses upright in the muffin tin wells. Bake for 25–30 minutes until crispy and browned.
Drain & Cool:
  1. Remove from oven and place on paper towels to drain excess grease. Let cool slightly.
Serve:
  1. Remove toothpicks before serving. Garnish with rosemary or parsley for a ā€œstemā€ effect.

Notes

Extra Flavor: Brush bacon lightly with maple syrup or sprinkle with brown sugar before rolling.
Crispier Bacon: Use a wire rack set inside the muffin tin for even cooking.
Microwave Option: Cook in a microwave-safe muffin tin for 8–10 minutes, checking often.
Presentation Tip: Arrange roses on a platter with fresh greens for a bouquet-style display.
Sweet-Savory Pairing: Serve alongside pancakes, waffles, or chocolate-dipped strawberries.
