Make the Seasoning:
- In a small bowl, mix chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Season the Meat:
- Toss the sliced chicken or steak with 1 tbsp olive oil and half of the seasoning mixture.
Cook the Meat:
- Heat a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken or steak slices 4ā6 minutes, until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
Cook the Veggies:
- In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and sliced bell peppers and onions. Cook 5ā7 minutes until tender-crisp. Season with remaining seasoning.
Combine & Sizzle:
- Return meat to the skillet, toss with vegetables, and cook 1ā2 minutes until everything is heated and coated in seasoning.
Serve:
- Serve sizzling with warmed tortillas, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, shredded cheese, and lime wedges on the side.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate chicken in lime juice, olive oil, and half the seasoning for 30 minutes before cooking.
Slice vegetables thinly for quick cooking and even texture.
