  • 1 16 oz pound cake or angel food cake, cubed
  • 1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 12 oz tub of whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups fresh strawberries sliced
  • 1½ cups fresh blueberries
  • 1½ cups fresh raspberries

Method
 

  1. Make the cream layer: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla, mixing until combined. Fold in whipped topping gently.
  2. Layer the trifle: In a large glass trifle dish or bowl, start with a layer of cubed cake, followed by a layer of the cream mixture, then a layer of berries.
  3. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with berries on top for a festive look.
  4. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving for best flavor and structure.
